Really love this sturdy bunk bed! Great for low ceilings. Only drawback is of course no storage under the bed however it does have great storage under the stairs for toys. Fairly easy to assemble. Would recommend a screw drill for the slats. The kids love it, it feels sturdy/ safe. I gave it a four for the difficulty w/building the top and the shortness of our bedroom. The picture is a little misleading, that must be a tall room. Almost took the ceiling fan out when I stood it upWe’ve had this bunk bed for a little over 2 months now and it is holding just fine for my boys. I can actually say it was pretty easy to assemble as far as it being a bunk bed. The only main problem I encountered was connecting the stairs to the bunk bed itself. I had a few paint chips here and there on the smaller pieces of wood that were for the steps It’s definitely worth the money since it has survived 2 boys over the past few months.Building took about 2 hours with 2 people. Seems sturdy. I didn't read the fine print 6" top mattress and 8" mattress bottom is recommended, I'll be finding those soon for more room. Has some marks and chips but nothing majorGood value, very space efficientWorks great for our 3 & 5 yo.They are hard on the stairs though, the paint is already peeling off after few months and you can't clean the steps or paint comes off or bubbles since it's more compressed-like wood.Looks cute, is sturdy & Great for price, but won't stand the test of time.If you're looking for something lower to the ground that you only need for couple years and summer want to spend a fortune, you will like this. Just put something on the stairs upon set up to keep them clean. Or, don't buy white like I did.I seriously didn't quite realize what I was getting into with bunk bed. First of all, yes you need to wait until both boxes are here. Secondly it doesn't matter what box you unpack first because you are going to need both opened and sorted to get anywhere. I had to dig to the bottom of the second box and remove almost everything to start putting the bed together. I would have liked a few more steps. You will also absolutely need another body to hold this sucker together while you get the bolts in on step 2. You will need them at least half an hour. But in the end, I didn't need any extra tools other than one screwdriver. I think it took me five hours, but that was also with children bursting into the room and trying to "help" and having one shot to help calm my nerves.I have my 7 year old twins using this and they love it. I love the stairs bc it's so much safer than a ladder and I love how short it is bc I can actually reach the twin on the top. I did leave of the rail bc honestly my kids don't need it and with it I would not be able to make the top mattress.
