Charlie "Bird" Parker has always been one of my inspirations in jazz and he mostly I'll call my teacher/role model/mentor, you name it. He's all of the above. I adore him since day 1 (after listening to the Bird soundtrack and seen half of the movie a bit and then minutes got into once 'mo which I have on DVD) and always remain a top standard of my generation experiencing w/ Jazz. He worked w/ everybody from Miles, to Dizzy Gillespie, to Fats Navarro, Red Rodney, John Coltrane, just to name a few.Yeah this album is sure is a personal favorite of mine incl. Rocker which I have too. I owned all these on cassette only just b/c they're out-of-print. I'ma say all the songs are good incl. Dizzy's classic hit "Be-Bop" which sure remains a standard to the jazz community.J'adore ce cd Charlie Parker est un grand maitre du swing ,je peux l'écouter en boucle et chaque fois c'est que du bonheur,sans son influence Coltrane ou Miles Davis n'auraient jamais existé.Bonne compil des meilleurs titres de Charlie Parker. Pas de (mauvaise) surprise dans cet album que les amateurs attendaient ou dont ils rêvaient pour le moins!Bonjour, Charlie Parker est dans son genre un des maître du saxophone alto ( en mi bémol ) indispensable dans votre CDthèque
