An authentic reproduction of the WW2 German Summer Flight Jacket (Channel Jacket). worn by the fighter, dogfight, night fighter and stuka pilots of the German airforce durring WW2, this is one of the more rare flight jackets of WW2. The first ME-262 V3 was flown by Fritz Wendel in July 1942 and the jacket was specially developed for pilots deployed on the eastern front, and only meant for flight personal during 1943-1945. The production of this jacket was more complicated than any other we`ve produced, until now. We were lucky enough to have obtained the original jacket from a fighter pilot who flew the legendary ME-262 here at the Leipheim Airport in Ulm, where all the ME-262 V3 jets were tested. In Airforce blue with the map pocket and oxygen holder included, exactly as they were on the original. The Italian cotton used for this jacket is specially produced for us and woven on 60 year old machines.
