The friggin* pidgins were congregating on the wall I had built to remove the eyesore that is my next door neighbors junk-strewn terrace. The pidgins would sit there and empty their apparently not so small bowels after they ate to their heart’s content from my next door neighbor who would leave bread out for them; wotta jerk, right? So the first thing I did was buy these incredible spikes and lined the top of my wall with them; nailed all along the rim. When I was casually nailing them, the neighbor stuck his head out the window and with a growl asked me what I was doing and I politely told him that I was nailing the spikes on the rim to keep the pidgins off. He looked at me with obvious disdain and stuck his head back through the window without a word. I think he hasn’t had anyone nail anything to his rim in a while and I think it would be a good thing if he did, he would be happier. Anyway, between installing the spikes and getting two rescue alley cats, Melvin and Arturo, my pidgin problem is no more. They (the pidgins, that is) do continue to visit the neighbor, eat the bread he so magnanimously leaves out and subsequently leave their droppings all over his terrace, and frankly, that’s just literally, tough crap. I think the neighbor needs to get his own rim hammered with a spike and I sincerely hope he does; I can give him a reliable recommendation. Thank you, Amazon!At a sudden my house got attention of a few seagulls and they landed on the top of my roof. They squawk and cry and scream often through out the day. As well as at 5 AM they pecked on the glass window (I guess they see their own reflections). That was the last patience I had. It was a LOUD boom boom for hours. I used all kinds of scare crows (shinny - bling stuff as well as plastic owl) none was working. So I put these spike on and GONE..... I highly recommending them. I hot glue them down 5" apart.This is a great product & easy to assemble the spikes into the base. I was short some spikes & contacted customer service & Joyce made sure I was taken care of immediately..Pigeons are gone!! Thank You!!!It worked - stopped the squirrels using the pipe are a freeway.I purchased the spikes to keep the squirrels from springboarding off of a struggling Fir tree on to my bird feeders. It's WORKING and it's a lot less expensive than a Squirrel-Flinger type feeder. I used nylon tie wraps to secure the spikes and they're working just fine. The squirrels are not happy but no animals were injured in the making of this deterrent ?When you walk outside and find a raccoon sitting on the top of the chimney enjoy the moon, you know you get the raccoon problem. With the help of Cobra security camera system, I have captured the video how and where the raccoon going up and down the house (2 story house), and how capable the raccoon was with climbing. After installed those spikes, raccoon decided to move to a different den. Raccoon usually has several dens (up to 20 in some researches). Be careful, you need to watch the raccoon activities for a few more days to make sure there are no baby raccoons left behind, if so, you should remove the strips in the easiest location for mother raccoon to go back , let her to take the babies to a new den. Raccoons are active from 9:30 pm to 4-5 am. They do not like the inconvenience environment. Comparing to spend $500 or more to hire professional to remove the raccoon every time, this would be a much better permanently solution. I hope. Will see.Customer Service is Excellent I got the missing spikes within a week. I've ordered another set even to cove my entire fence!! No easy to nail to fence as you have to put together the spikes before attaching but patience and it will work!!I got 14 metal plates and ONLY 8 sets of spikes, missing 6 sets of spikes, UGH!! I have contacted seller and will let you know how the customer service goes.In the process of putting them up on my fence to keep the stray cats out of my patio. I WISH THEY INCLUDED THE APPROPRIATE NAILS NEEDED TO ATTACH. I've had a difficult time finding nails with a large enough head to really work properly so that's why I gave three star's on install. So far seems like it will work. will follow up laterOrdering my third set of these to cover the ENTIRE patio fence. So far so GOOD with Keeping all the Ferral Cats Out of my patio area!! I would buy againI'd already turned my balcony into a fortress with the first pack of these spikes I bought. Some pigeon dared to try to land on the horizontal spikes in front of my wife. So now I've installed a row of spikes at 45* in front of the net previously installed.These spikes are good, easy to install in a few minutes. I've screwed them to wooden surfaces and masticed them to concrete. Never had any problems other than the birds I'm trying to get rid of are stupid enough to impale themselves.Easy to assemble once one gets the hang of placing very springy pointy parts into place. It is very effective in deterring pests/vermin. Attached by wood screws, ty-wraps or powerful disc magnets along metal fencing with stainless steel M4 countersunk screws and M4 locknuts. Worth the money and very durable.These are brilliant. I bought them to place on my fence to stop the neighbours cat tormenting my dogs and they work a treat. Easy to assemble and very sturdy, highly recommend.This product really works well deterring not only birds large and small but also cats on our garden wall.Brilliant product. Assembly is easy but takes a while your hands will ache by the time you've assembled them all. But we'll worth the pain. I can now sit under my pergola without the furniture being covered in mess. Brilliant product.
